GoToInterview wins $100,000 investment from AOL co-founder Steve Case

GoToInterview, a New Orleans startup that seeks to simplify the hiring process for restaurants, hotels and other employers, won a $100,000 investment from AOL co-founder Steve Case at a Friday (May 8) business pitch competition. The company will use the investment to help fund growth as it adds a major airline customer in coming months.

Crystal McDonald, president and CEO of GoToInterview, wore a wide grin as she accepted the oversized check. She playfully scolded someone who asked if they could move it out of her way as she accepted congrats from audience members.

“Don’t move it too far,” she said. “I’m going to need that.”

McDonald was one of seven New Orleans entrepreneurs who pitched their ideas during the pitch competition, the culminating event in Case’s “Rise of the Rest” bus tour.
