New Orleans youth attend forum on gun violence hosted by Saints player Demario Davis
NEW ORLEANS — Becoming a part of the change — that was the goal of Dillard University’s campus Tuesday. Young people in New Orleans got together to talk about a big topic impacting our city. Gun violence.
Saints player Demario Davis moderated the open discussion about crime. Other organizers included The HOPE Initiative, New Orleans Business Alliance, Greater New Orleans, Inc., Dillard University, and Dillard University Center for Racial Justice.
More than 200 students gathered at John Georges Auditorium to talk about crime its causes and what they, the students feel should be done about it.
