Next City Vanguards Arrive in New Orleans for “Experiential” Conference

NEW ORLEANSThe Vanguard Conference kicks off this week for what will be one of the most unique conferences to ever visit the City. Co-sponsored by the New Orleans Business Alliance, the “experiential” conference is focused on “Equity as a Growth Strategy” and places New Orleans at the center of thought-leadership on key issues facing U.S. cities.

Starting Thursday morning, more than 40 urban experts from around the world will walk and bicycle throughout New Orleans and view key city assets and achievements, including the Claiborne Corridor Cultural Innovation District, while addressing urban development and challenges.

Public Reception/“The Big Idea”: The public is invited to a free reception and Big Idea Workshop presentations where Vanguards tackle key issues facing NOLA such as economic development, housing affordability, cultural preservation, transportation, environmental sustainability and healthy neighborhoods.

The reception will be held at the Ashe’ Power House Theatre (1731 Baronne St, New Orleans, LA 70113) on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:30pm.  Attendees should RSVP here.
