NOLABA achieved accredited economic development organization status from the International Economic Development Council in April. IEDC profiled NOLABA in its series on newly accredited AEDOs in a members-only newsletter and blog.
Thanks to the efforts and leadership of Mayor Mitch Landrieu, Co-Chairs Leslie Jacobs and the Honorable Ronald Sholes, Board members Henry L. Coaxum, Jr. and Aimee Quirk, and more than 200 business and community leaders, Prosperity NOLA received a prestigious award from IEDC.
NOLABA has received a three-year, $375,000 grant by the Surdna Foundation to focus business expansion and retention efforts on the city’s small businesses. NOLABA has hired Lynnette White-Colin to lead these efforts as NOLABA’s inaugural director of small business ecosystem development.
